Job Description:

A financial services firm in Connecticut is actively seeking a self-motivated and diligent professional to join their staff as their new Closed-end Funds Tax Senior. In this role, the Closed-end Funds Tax Senior will be responsible for investment partnerships and SPVs' tax compliance work.

Responsibilities

The -Closed-end Funds Tax Senior will:

• 
  
• Prepare quarterly income tax projections for partnerships and tax provisions for corporations
  
• Review book-to-tax adjustments, state apportionment and withholding tax computation, and tax allocations for investment partnerships, SPVs, and JVs
  
• Review federal and state income tax estimates and tax returns for partnerships and corporations
  
• Monitor tax deliverable deadlines and supervise tax payment requests and tax filing calendar prepared by the paralegal
  
• Act as a liaison with outside tax administrators and accounting firms for timely releasing of the K1s and filing of all tax returns
  
  Qualifications
  
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's degree
    
  • 3-5 years of partnership and corporation tax experience in public accounting or equivalent with a concentration in the financial services sector (i.e. investment partnerships, SPVs, and securities taxation)
    
  • Proficient Excel knowledge and comfortable with systems and technology
    
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
    
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills -
    
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills -
    
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and achieve desired results in a timely manner
