Greenwich Country Day School (GCDS) is an independent, co-educational day school with a current enrollment of 1300 students in grades N-12, and a faculty and staff of 340. The original Old Church Road campus is home to grades N-8. Phase II construction of the new Upper School campus (9-12,) located less than two miles away on Stanwich Road, is well underway and scheduled for August 2021 completion. GCDS is committed to graduating ethical, confident leaders who possess a strong sense of purpose.Greenwich Country Day School seeks Administrative Support Staff for the following positions.* Lower Elementary School Administrative Assistant; July 2021 start* Upper Elementary School Administrative Assistant; July 2021 startEach Division Administrative Assistant will provide executive level administrative support to division administrators and serve as the receptionist for the respective building. Successful candidates will possess expertise with the Google Suite of office applications, including calendar management, and a genuine desire to provide support to various constituents including students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors. These are full-time, 12-month/year positions. Diversity is a core value at GCDS, and we seek candidates who demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion.Responsibilities Include:* Provide warm welcome and assistance to all visitors* Provide accurate and timely communication to students and parents, faculty and staff, and external constituencies* Coordinate and assist with division/department events* Maintain comprehensive database of detailed information critical to division/department* Provide phone coverage and respond to email inquiries* Manage office calendar, including scheduling of appointments* Efficiently and effectively manage communication within a large group of peopleRequired Qualifications:* Bachelor's Degree or demonstrated professional competency* Minimum of 3-years successful experience in a similar role, preferably in a school setting* Strong computer and database skills; Veracross proficiency strongly preferred* Proficiency in using spreadsheets, ability to mail merge * Experience with FileMaker and Google Apps a plus* Enthusiasm for interacting with elementary students and their parents* Sense of urgency* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail* Ability to work independently, see tasks through to completion, and meet deadlines* Ability to work collaboratively* Professional, personable demeanor: ability to remain calm within pressure or urgent situations * Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times* Commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive school community* Willingness to take on multiple roles within the school* Personal traits appropriate for nurturing the growth of children - must be energetic, creative, flexible, patient, and have an inexhaustible sense of humor* Spanish proficiency is highly desirable* Willingness and ability to provide occasional class coverage is a plus factorInterested candidates are invited to use the link provided to submit a cover letter and resume to:Susan Fahey Khanna, Director of Human Resources* * Powered by JazzHRwip2LuRFNn
