Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced nursery expert to oversee our fast paced Greenwich nursery yard. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Nursery Manager will be responsible for the following activities:

• Maintain a clean and presentable nursery yard
• Manage a yard sales team responsible for assisting customers in product selection and loading
• Manage a shipping and receiving team responsible for the unloading of incoming plant material
• Maintain plant health, viability, and appearance
• Understand and run irrigation system daily
• Create a positive environment for employees which encourages teamwork in alignment with SiteOne DNA.
• Train and develop agronomic staff to be knowledgeable of the product line and customer needs to support achievement of departmental sales goals.
• Support other branch departments and customers as needed.Skills We Are Seeking
  
  What you'll need:
  • 1-3 years' experience in the green industry and an understanding of landscape, hardscape, nursery, or irrigation products preferred
  • Excellent customer service and management skills
  • Experience with sales and operations planning and forecasting
  • Understanding of accounting fundamentals; including debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable and budgets.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
