-------Greenwich Country Day School (GCDS) is an independent, co-educational day school with a current enrollment of over 1400 students in grades N-12, and a faculty and staff of over 400. The original Old Church Road campus is home to grades N-8. The new Upper School (9-12,) established in 2019, is located less than two miles away on the Stanwich Road campus. GCDS is pleased to offer transportation support and accommodations, as needed, along with an introduction to the local area, for those candidates who travel from outside of the region for on-campus employment interviews.Greenwich Country Day School seeks an Assistant or Associate Director of Admission, to start in July 2023. This position will report to the Director of Enrollment and Financial Aid and assist with all aspects of admission and enrollment management. Ideal candidates will possess strong database skills and demonstrated experience using data for strategic thinking along with exceptional interviewing skills and the ability to meaningfully engage prospective students and families and steward them through the admission process. This is a 12-month/year, full-time position. -Responsibilities Include:

Work collaboratively with the admission team in all aspects of the admission process from inquiry to enrollment; including fielding questions, scheduling student visits, conducting parent and student interviews, and coordinating admission events and new family onboarding -Serve as a member of the Admission Committee to review files, recommend, and select mission-aligned candidates and families for admissionWork with the Director of Enrollment to build and maintain relationships with area schools as well as with educational access programs and educational consultantsAssist with admission testing and student screening processAssist with the re-enrollment and new student enrollmentWork with student admission ambassadors to ensure a meaningful leadership opportunityIncorporate the use of current trends, best practices, data, and quantitative analysis into the overall enrollment strategyWork collaboratively with internal departments including Advancement, Business, Athletics, Communications, and the Arts to engage prospective families and support enrollment and institutional goalsBe an active and creative thought partner in the development of enrollment marketing and communications strategyUnderstand and support the mission of the schoolRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degreeMinimum 5 years of admission and enrollment management experience, preferably in a K-12 independent school settingCommitment to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive school communityProficiency with student information systems and databasesDemonstrated knowledge of the strategic relationships and levers that influence sustainable enrollmentStrong work ethic combined with a high degree of professionalism and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and the integrity of the admission processLeadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, service-oriented officeDemonstrated cultural competency skills to effectively communicate and collaborate across differenceExcellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills and the ability to comfortably, warmly, and effectively engage with large and small groups of adults and/or students in professional or social settingsStrong presentation skillsSuperlative organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work both as part of a team and independently to accomplish departmental and individual goalsPositive energy, flexibility, and a desire to participate in the life of the school -Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends as neededPreferred Qualifications
