Job Description:
Position Description: Manages and drives the buildout of technology solutions within a
securities lending product domain. Integrates with vendor products
-- Equilend, Smartloan, and Loanet. Performs product design and
development, using 12EF, Spring Boot, Oracle, MQ, and Cloud
development and architecture. Develops Cloud technologies to drive
Cloud implementation roadmaps. Builds enterprise technology
products and solutions. Draws on in-depth knowledge of the business
or function to provide business unit-wide solutions by developing
complex, multi-faceted software applications. Researches and
recommends new technologies in support of the strategic direction
of the business unit and participates in the research and
recommendation of appropriate models, methods, tools, and
technologies to achieve business-unit-wide solutions. Primary Responsibilities: Drives and delivers Agile sprints. Translates business requirements into system requirements for
developers across teams. Designs, develops, and modifies complex and major software
systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to
predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Develops and directs software system testing and validation
procedures, programming, and documentation. Researches and recommends new technologies in support of the
strategic direction of the business unit. Translates and incorporates business vision and objectives to
architectural strategy recommendations at the functional level. Identifies and consults with internal and external technical
resources to produce cross-company strategic designs. Consults on development and delivery of major technology
initiatives for the business unit. Consults on deployment of major project deliverables. Consults on the documentation of major technology
applications. Oversees the technical implementation of cross-divisional or
company architectural components. Initiates and drives project or strategy discussions with users
or external groups to resolve issues. Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives. Provides leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to
multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex
organization-wide projects. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Provides guidance, training, and coaching to other team members
for performance and career development. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or
six (6) years of experience designing, developing, and supporting
financial security applications -- fully paid, margin, and
securities lending, repo, and securities borrowing. Or alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Administration,
Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and four (4) years
of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience
designing, developing, and supporting financial security
applications -- fully paid, margin, and securities lending, repo,
and securities borrowing. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) booking loans, borrows, recalls, and
returns for counterparties for testing and validation, using FIS
Apex and Securities Finance applications; creating and automating
loan and borrow requests, using Equilend Next Generation trading
platform, Loanet, and Smartloan; and managing the entire range of
repurchase agreements, and securities borrowing and lending
requirements, using FIS Apex and Securities Finance
applications. DE developing and deploying securities finance Web and
standalone application engines, using Java, Amazon Web Services
(AWS), Spring Framework, Apigee API, Shell Scripting, Jenkins, and
Oracle PL/SQL; and developing and deploying functional Web service
automation, using Selenium Serenity Cucumber framework, ICEDQ, Soap
UI, and HP UFT tools. DE integrating securities lending applications with 3rd party
marketplaces (Equilend and pre and post-trade) and data providers
(Markit, Astec, and DataLend) using IBM MQ and SFTP protocol;
providing core book and record capabilities on a securities lending
platform, using FIS Loanet and Smartloan; and building fully paid
lending capabilities -- prospecting, account enrollment, trade
booking, expanded trade entry, contract browser, quantity recon,
contract compare, and omnibus account rollup -- using Java, Oracle
AQ, Apigee API, and Python. DE performing in the Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
-- writing user stories and acceptance criteria (in Jira), driving
Scrum meetings, and facilitating sprint planning -- in a financial
services environment; and providing technical leadership to
development teams responsible for developing securities finance
