Job Description:

An asset management firm located in Connecticut is actively seeking a dynamic and self-motivated professional to join their staff as their new Trading Assistant. In this role, the Trading Assistant will assist with trade execution and entry into trade entry / portfolio management systems.

Responsibilities

The Trading Assistant will:

• 
  
• Confirm trades with counterparties and assist the portfolio managers in allocating the trades across the funds
  
• Seek internal approvals to receive issuer confidential information and maintain the firm's restricted list
  
• Liase with Trade Closing and Asset Servicing Departments
  
• Prepare primary loan commitment letters
  
• Obtain dealer bids and offers in connection with best execution
  
• Maintain dialogue with dealers
  
• Monitor / Update Primary New Issuance and Secondary deal flow with deal team and internal systems
  
• Provide ad hoc data requests as needed
  
  Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
    
  • 3+ years of related experience
    
  • Proficiency with computer platforms and applications
    
  • Ability to multitask
    
  • Excellent communication skills
    
  • Strong interpersonal skills
    
  • Highly organized
