Job Title: Sr. Server Engineer Location: Barnabas Health Corp Department: IT&S Service Support Req: 0000198406 Status: Full-Time Shift: Day Pay Range: $121,748.93 - $171,970.36 Annual Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Summary : The Senior Server Engineer is responsible for supporting the data protect infrastructure in our assigned datacenters, data rooms and other areas as deemed necessary. Qualifications: The role requires to be proficient and very knowledgeable in Data Protection Technologies -Veritas, Cohesity-, Windows Operating Systems both Server and Desktop and/or Linux/Unix Operating Systems, Also, the position requires proficiency with the VMware Hypervisor, Citrix and related technologies The Senior Server Engineer requires proficiency of all server hardware in a datacenter setting -traditional, Converged and Hyper-converged computing platforms-, A solid understanding of storage-based technologies in a datacenter setting The Senior Server Engineer will have a proficiency in scripting languages/technologies for automation and reporting The role will produce quality documentation for installations, Infrastructure diagrams and computing environments Ability to schedule upgrades, installations and maintenance with customers and peers Participate in scheduled or non-scheduled off hour infrastructure upgrades and/or emergencies Participate in mandatory on-call rotation in a 24x7 computing environment The Senior Server Engineer will proactively monitor the data protection infrastructure and provide recommendations to management and peers for improvements, innovations and remediations This position requires written, verbal, technical and people skills The role requires the individual to be proficient in Information Technology Security best practices Scheduling Requirements: Full-time, Day M-F 9a-5p, hybrid 3days in office, either Oceanport or West Orange, NJ facility On-call, 24x7 once every 4 weeks Travel between Oceanport and West Orange, NJ facilities as needed Essential Functions: Ability to work in hybrid workplace and workforce Provides excellent customer service with compassion, empathy and a consistent supportive attitude Mentors Server Engineers and peers Problem solving and critical thinking skills in a fast paced and changing environment Knowledge of basic storage management solutions Ability to multi-task and have strong analytical skills Other duties and projects as assigned and in a timely fashion Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
