Job Description:
Northern Westchester Hospital, part of Northwell Health, is a

Northern Westchester Hospital serves as a clinical campus for the
Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell,
which is owned by the health system in partnership with Hofstra
University. We launched our first class of internal medicine
residents in June 2024 as we continue to transition into an
academic tertiary center in the region. Key Responsibilities
include: Expansion & Enhancement: Lead the growth and improvement
of Rheumatology, Immunology, and Allergy services, including
inpatient and ambulatory care. Clinical Oversight: Supervise
clinical care and staff, ensuring all staff maintain active
credentials. Clinical Oversight: Supervise Internal Medicine
residents elective rotation in the Department of Rheumatology Care
Coordination: Develop and manage care coordination among healthcare
providers. Visibility: Enhance Northwell Northern Westchester
Hospital's visibility locally, nationally, and internationally
Quality Management: Implement quality management activities and
maintain quality assurance programs. Education: Design and
implement educational programs and curricula for the department and
the Internal Medicine residency program. Research: Conduct and
develop medical research projects. Administration: Participate in
strategic planning, physician recruitment, credentialing, and
marketing. Professional Development: Stay updated on current trends
and maintain professional ethics and clinical competency. The
Division of Rheumatology, consisting of over 50 rheumatologists
throughout the New York area, requires several more rheumatologists
to fulfill enormous community needs. The focus will be on
outpatient activities at all sites, but inpatient consultations,
teaching, and scholarly work may be available depending on
location. Despite the broad geographic distribution of our

ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors,
including but not limited to physician specialty, level of
experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient
experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is
