Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Brooklyn, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,575 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 7 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Brooklyn, New York, 11212! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical/Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 34.50 Experience: 3-5 years in a Level I or II Trauma Center License: BSN Certifications: TCAR, BLS, ACLS, PALS, AHA Stroke certification Must-Have: - Competent in CRRT machine operation - Vent/tracheostomy and gastrostomy tube management - Medication titration - A-line management Description: Utilize the nursing process in the provision of direct patient care. Be responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating all care provided to assigned patients. Delivery of care is based on the standards of care and practices established by the Department of Nursing and other policies and procedures. Diagnose and treat human responses to actual and potential health problems through services such as case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive or restorative care. Supervise patient care provided by licensed practical nurses, registered nurses on permit, nursing attendants, technicians, and supplemental staff. Assess the immediate and continuing care needs of the patient and significant others. Develop comprehensive and current plans of care that include physical needs, patient teaching, discharge planning, and psychosocial/spiritual needs. Provide direct patient care based on assessed needs and the medical regimen. Oversee and ensure the provision of all aspects of care for the patient. Supervise the care provided by other nursing personnel as defined in the scope of practice. Observe, evaluate, document, and communicate to relevant team members the patient's response to illness and/or therapeutic modalities. Ensure timely reassessment of patient responses to treatment when significant changes occur in patient condition or diagnosis. Coordinate the overall plan of care to ensure implementation of nursing interventions and consistency with medical regimen. Establish priorities for care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and initiate follow-up, as indicated, to ensure timely provision of patient care. Assure the plan of care integrates age-specific care needs as defined in the unit scope of care. Accept responsibility and accountability for nursing interventions and outcomes based on professional clinical judgments. Participate in quality improvement activities related to patient care delivery and the development of nursing/hospital standards. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, manage stressful situations appropriately, and facilitate interpersonal relationships with other disciplines. Participate in the orientation of nursing staff. Assume charge responsibilities as delegated. Ensure appropriate coverage of all patients by assisting and relieving co-workers, and working on other units as assigned. Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff. Serve as a clinical resource for student nurses. Participate in meetings, committees, conferences, and educational programs. Engage in research and pilot projects supported by the Nursing Department. Demonstrate responsibility for continuing professional growth and education, including attendance at staff development and continuing education programs.
