Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Provider (APP), either Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), to join the Department of Psychiatry at HealthAlliance in Kingston, NY. The ideal candidate will have a track record of clinical accomplishments in the treatment of patients with serious mental illness. In this role the APP will provide emergency and consultative psychiatric services primarily to adult patients in crisis, but also to children and adolescents, including triage, diagnostic evaluations, prescribing, and care transitions as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities also include reviewing patients medication records to determine the appropriateness of the existing medication regimen. Qualifications: Candidates must be board certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant and possess, or be able to obtain, a New York State applicable professional license. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a psychiatric provider but highly motivated new graduates will be considered. Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
