Job Description Medical Solutions Direct Hire is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a job in White Plains, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Sterile Processing Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: Ongoing - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, evenings, nights - Employment Type: Staff Pay: $27.18 - $34.28 per hour Job description: Location: White Plains, NY | $56,550 - $71,323| Permanent Role About the Role: (CSPDT) and is responsible for ensuring that all surgical supplies, instruments and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed, and tracked in a quality/timely manner through the hospital. Works independently with little supervision, qualified to train others and serves as a resource to Central Processing customers. What You’ll Do: Decontaminate, clean, assemble, inspect, package, sterilize, store, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment using proper infection-control and sterilization standards. - Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain sterilizers, washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners, and related processing equipment. - Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality; select appropriate sterilization methods and document sterilization cycles and biological testing. - Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, rotating, and tracking medical/surgical supplies; ensure timely delivery to clinical units. - Serve as a resource for Central Processing workflows, maintain a clean work area, complete housekeeping tasks, and participate in ongoing education and competency requirements. What We’re Looking For: - Valid certification as a CRCST or CSPDT.
