Provide expert perioperative care in an Operating Room setting located in Chicopee, MA, supporting surgeons as the lead assistant throughout operative procedures. This role involves both scrubbing and circulating duties under the guidance of the Nurse Manager. Responsibilities: Assist surgeons in lead role during operative procedures to ensure patient safety and procedural accuracy Serve as a circulating nurse when necessary, managing the OR environment and supplies Adhere strictly to organizational and departmental policies and procedures Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to deliver optimal patient care Qualifications and Experience: Graduate of an approved School of Nursing Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Certification in RN First Assisting aligned with AORN Core Curriculum Five years of diversified perioperative nursing experience, proficient in both scrubbing and circulating roles ACLS certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week On-call responsibilities two days a week from 5 pm (or end of shift) until 7 pm Weekend on-call coverage one weekend every three weeks, covering 24 hours each day (Saturday and Sunday) About the Location: Chicopee, MA, offers a welcoming community with a blend of cultural attractions, parks, and dining options.
