Job Description:
We're building the AI-powered agent experience for Amazon Ads —
the intelligent interface that will change how millions of
advertisers manage campaigns, analyze performance, and optimize
strategy on Amazon. We need a Principal PM-T to own this vision.
Our team is the Advertiser Experience Framework team powering the
Amazon Ads Console. We are building an agentic experience framework
that fundamentally changes how advertisers interact with Amazon
Ads, starting with conversational chat and evolving toward
solutions that reason, plan, and act on behalf of advertisers. We
have executive sponsorship, a growing team, and a greenfield
opportunity to define a new product category. As a Principal PM-T,
you will own the product vision and experience strategy for how
Amazon Ads' agent capabilities come together into a coherent
advertiser experience — across your team's surfaces, dozens of
partner teams launching agent-driven features, and
cross-organizational initiatives integrating agent experiences
across multiple Amazon organizations into a unified customer
journey. You will identify the highest-value problems the agent
should solve, define the shared patterns and frameworks that
product teams across Ads build on, and produce strategy documents
that frame this opportunity for leadership across Amazon. This is a
PM-T role, and the "T" matters. You bring technical depth that
makes your product decisions better — you can lead architecture
discussions, assess feasibility independently, and define
integration contracts that engineering teams trust. You understand
how large-scale web systems work and use that understanding to make
product trade-offs that hold up at advertiser scale. This is a
horizontal role, and the ability to influence without authority at
scale is its defining requirement. Your product decisions shape
what dozens of teams build and how millions of advertisers
experience AI across the Ads Console. You will drive synergy across
PMs working on agent experiences throughout the organization,
connect the dots between disparate team launches, and identify
where the overall experience falls short even when individual
features succeed. You will need deep product instincts grounded in
how advertisers actually work — campaigns, budgets, targeting,
audiences, and performance measurement. You should either bring
advertising domain knowledge or demonstrate a track record of
ramping quickly in complex businesses. You will also be on the
forefront of how AI is transforming product management itself — how
we define problems, evaluate non-deterministic systems, design
experiments, and measure success. You will bring a practitioner's
perspective: actively experimenting with new approaches and helping
the PM community evolve. A successful candidate will be deeply
analytical, produce crisp written work at the highest bar,
influence effectively at VP/SVP level, and synthesize complex
cross-organizational inputs into clear strategic direction. You
will drive OP1/OP2 planning, conduct competitive landscape
analysis, and maintain a point of view on the industry that your
leadership relies on. Key job responsibilities - Own the multi-year
product vision for how agentic capabilities transform the Ads
experience — beyond chat into proactive surfaces, ambient
intelligence, and autonomous actions. Define the key problems the
Ads Agent should solve across the ecosystem. Drive OP1/OP2 planning
and produce strategy documents at L10 leadership bar. - Lead
technical product decisions with hands-on depth — architecture
discussions, integration contracts, latency and availability
trade-offs for global-scale web systems — earning engineering
credibility through substance. - Drive product strategy for a
horizontal framework adopted by dozens of Ads teams — governance,
standardization decisions, competing partner priorities — while
maintaining a cohesive advertiser experience. - Own experience
strategy for integrating agent experiences across multiple Amazon
organizations into a unified customer journey, navigating product
and technical alignment across org boundaries. - Drive PM synergy
across the Ads organization — shared context, cross-team pattern
identification, and evolution of product management practices for
AI-native development. - Define the trust and autonomy framework
for agents. Conduct competitive landscape analysis informing
strategic bets. Partner with science on evaluation frameworks and
agent quality. - Raise the bar for the PM community through
mentorship, exemplary written work, and thought leadership on how
AI transforms product development. A day in the life Your day moves
between strategic altitude and technical depth. You review
competitive intelligence and draft implications for Directors and
VPs. You join architecture reviews with your engineering leader,
engaging on latency budgets, API contracts, and graceful
degradation — not as an observer, but as a technical contributor.
You lead cross-organizational alignment sessions for agent
experience integration initiatives spanning multiple Amazon
organizations. You facilitate PM synergy forums where teams across
Ads surface conflicts and discover shared opportunities. You write
strategy narratives destined for VP leadership review. You coach
PMs on framework adoption challenges. Throughout, you apply and
evangelize AI-native product development practices with your team
and the broader PM community. About the team The Advertiser
Experience Frameworks team is ~35 engineers plus product, design,
and science, building the experience layer and platform services
for the Amazon Ads Agent. We're a horizontal team — our frameworks
are the integration surface for dozens of teams across Ads. What we
build determines what others can build and how millions of
advertisers experience AI across the console. We operate
global-scale web systems where product decisions must account for
performance, availability, and operational reality. We value
ownership, speed, and crisp written work that stands up at the
highest leadership levels. PMs here engage substantively in
architecture discussions alongside engineers. - 2 years of end to
end product delivery experience - 8 years of technical product or
program management experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience with
feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product - Experience
owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - Experience leading
engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy
