Reporting to our Chief Marketing Officer and working closely with our CEO and Executive Leadership team, this role will play an integral role in fostering an engaged and informed workforce across our physician practices and Management Services Organization (MSO). The Internal Communications Specialist will lead content development and deploy internal communications strategies to connect employees to our Mission, Vision, Values and Purpose, while ensuring accessibility of timely and relevant information for all employees. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communications strategies designed to inform and engage diverse internal constituencies within our physician practices and MSO.
  • Create content and deliverables to support those strategies while continuously evaluating the effectiveness and adapting accordingly.
  • Establish and execute annual content calendar including newsletters, seasonal communications, intranet content, videos, targeted emails, etc.
  • Write and edit both proactive and reactive internal communications copy.
  • Coordinate employee engagement forums such as town halls, fireside chats with leadership and other events in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Work closely with the CEO to establish leadership messaging and voice.
  • Support M&A communications for newly acquired practices, working closely with the Integration team.
  • Partner with Human Resource to deliver employee communications around benefits, wellness, policy, diversity, equity and inclusion, performance and talent management as well as overall employment brand.
  • Partner with IT on maintaining organization wide intranet
  • Drive alignment of communications strategies, tactics and resources across Spire to build a strong organizational culture and promote consistency.Background and Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree with a concentration in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Business or a related field preferred
    • Minimum 3-5 years experience in Internal Communications, preferably in a healthcare setting
    • Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to a diverse audience
    • Advanced MS Office skills with very strong PowerPoint skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with often shifting priorities
    • Track record of planning and executing employee engagement events
    • Strong project management and organizational skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and facilities with all levels of associates and physicians, including senior leaders and managers
    • Ability to travel 10-15%IND2
