Job Description:

A top Global Investment firm based in Greenwich, CT is seeking a bright and eager Compensation Associate to work closely with their HR team. You will be responsible for performing analysis around all aspects of compensation planning, annual planning for headcount, monitoring bi-weekly/monthly compensation pay periods and payroll and providing general analysis around all aspects of compensation, including benefits. Day-to-day responsibilities would include a combination of the following:

  • Oversee payroll for all US employees
  • Work to improve processes within payroll and compensation functions
  • Manage the employee compensation portion of the annual budget planning process.
  • Work with HR/Recruiting to quantify the cost of future hiring scenarios.
  • Assess current year and future year budget impacts related to changes in hiring plans and/or compensation changes.
  • Partner with HR and Management on the ongoing administration of long term incentive and deferred compensation plans.
  • Partner with HR and Management on compensation benchmarking activities utilizing market-based compensation surveys, analysis and market trends. Qualifications & Experience:
    • 5+ years of related work experience
    • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance preferred
    • Experience working with software applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and HRIS systems
    • Demonstrated experience solving complex problems using various data analysis techniques
    • Ability to compile, organize and synthesize large amounts of compensation related data for both historical analysis and forecasting purposes
    • Familiarity with all aspects of the payroll process, from hiring/onboarding, bi-weekly payroll, bonus calculations, severance, special payments, etc. and the associated impact on the general ledger accounts (i.e., accruals, deferrals, payroll liabilities, etc.)
    • Innovative and thinks outside the box
    • Ability work with ambiguity, analyze and improve processes and efficiencies
    • Must have excellent time management, communication and organizational skills
    • Experience interacting with diverse levels of leadership, specifically in a project or major client capacity
    • Experience summarizing results and developing/producing management reports
    • Experience building and managing project plans
