youll do:Responsibilities include but are not limited
to:Knowledgeablein operating CR and DR x-ray equipmentPerforms all
diagnostic radiographicprocedureswithin assigned areasPerforms
radiographs in a prompt and professional manner as observed by
supervisorReviews all necessary documentation
toperformdiagnosticproceduresReviews special instructions from
medical staff and supervisorPerforms preventative visual and manual
inspections for each radiographic room and equipment assigned
ensuring appropriate maintenanceand cleanlinessPerforms daily
room/equipment inspections. Reports all necessary problems to
appropriate individuals.Participates in the training and
instruction of new staffDemonstrates skills that lead to team
growth and professionalismDemonstrates ability to function in any
position within the radiology department whichis inclusive of 3
floors and 43 exam rooms.Accurately enters and bills charges for
procedures.Types all demographic
patientinformationfromthepatientschart into PACSPlans and /or
implements safe transfer of patients in wheelchair.Contributes to
an effective quality management and quality control program for
assigned area that is consistentwith overall quality plan of
ONSMonitors Quality Assuranceactivitiesin accordance with
guidelines set forth within thedepartmentWho you are:Professional
Experience/Educational Requirements:Graduate of approved school of
radiology required (two year course).Valid Connecticut X-ray
technician license. ARRT registered.Minimum two years' experience
as X-ray technician preferred.Orthopaedic experience
preferred.Ability to work well under pressure.Strong interpersonal
and customer service skills.LicensureState of ConnecticutState of
New York, a plusARRT registered or eligibleWorking
Environment:Medical office environment. Physical ability to perform
the job related duties which may require lifting, bending,
stooping, stretching, pulling and pushing. Exposure to body
