Director, Corporate Accounting, you will use your knowledge and

your expectations. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Responsible for the month-end close process of multiple
business units
- Review monthly JEs (pre-paids, accruals, etc.)
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation reviews
- Conduct detailed P&L reviews / analysis
- Collaborate with external auditors on information requests
- Research and document using U.S. GAAP technical experience
- Responsible for SOX compliance of the business units he/she
supports
- Support preparation and distribution of monthly accounting
management reports and statistical analysis
- Supervise, train, and develop accounting team; interact with
multiple departments including Finance and OperationsWhat you need
to succeed at XPO:At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent related work or
military experience
- 7 years of manager level experience in public accounting or
industry, preferably for a Fortune 500 company
- CPA certification
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle G/L and HFM) and
Microsoft Office, including the ability to create complex formulas
in Excel
- Ability to work cross functionally - FP&A, Operations,
Executive leadershipIt'd be great if you also have:
- Experience accounting and reporting for self-insured reserves,
including interacting with respective actuaries, third party
administrators, and respective internal departments
- Accounting experience related to employee benefits: Medical,
Pensions, etc.
- Technical accounting experience managing intercompany
transactions, ASC 606 revenue recognition transactions and lease
accounting
- Transportation accounting experience
- Experience performing under tight deadlines in a rapidly
changing environment; experience quickly learning and achieving
proficiency in new software applications
- Experience developing insightful, valuable and actionable
analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of the
results; experience producing unambiguous, comprehensive and
accurate interpretations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to
present clean, organized and thorough information and data
appropriate for intended audience
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills with capacity
to identify and resolve problemsBe part of something big. We are
