To better support the pets and people in our community we are adding to our Internal Medicine team!We are looking for an individual with experience in Internal Medicine who is interested in a multi location position. This role will alternate VCA locations weekly between VCA Katonah Bedford, and VCA VREC in Norwalk.This is a great opportunity for a Veterinary Technician who wants a challenge and the opportunity for growth. As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician, you will utilize your knowledge and cultivate new skills while collaborating with a team of like-minded professionals.Potential Schedule: Full time (4)10 hour shifts, Internal Medicine Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, plus 1 weekend shift with ER.Compensation: $29 - $35 / hr based on skill set, 3 - 5 yrs of experience, and licensure status (LVT, VTS)Please take a moment to preview our hospital: Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician Responsibilities:Procedural anesthesiaSet up and break down for ultrasound, and all scope proceduresFull technician skill utilizationCollecting patient histories & physical examsMedication refills, and pet parent communicationProficient in medical calculationsVenipuncture / IVC placementHands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital servicesProviding compassionate care for all patientsPlease view our 3-minute video on how VCA empowers our veterinary technicians!
