matters.Senior Business Analysts bridge the gap between business
and IT by communicating effectively with all stakeholders. They
support applications within a Delivery Team, eliciting and
documenting business, functional, non-functional, and technical
requirements, supporting testing phases, and triaging issues and
enhancements. They also provide senior-level support for projects
affecting the applications they support.Responsibilities
include:
- Elicit, analyze, and document complex business requirements:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs, translate into
user stories, and ensure requirements are well defined and aligned
with project goals.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and workshops: Lead requirements
gathering, backlog refinement, and other ceremonies to foster
collaboration and shared understanding.
- Manage and groom the product backlog: Prioritize user stories
based on value, dependencies, and feasibility; continuously refine
the backlog.
- Collaborate with development teams and subject matter experts:
Work closely to understand technical constraints, clarify
requirements, and ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria.
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships: Communicate
project progress, manage expectations, and address concerns
effectively.The Senior Business Analyst reports to the Release
Train Engineer - Middle Markets.Required skills and abilities
include:
- Understanding of business requirements and technical
solutions.
- Knowledge of applications systems analysis and data
handling.
- Experience in insurance or technology sectors.
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies, especially Agile.
- Proficiency with analyst methodologies such as Use Cases,
Business Rules, UI Specs, Functional Specs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
team-oriented.
- Detail-oriented, creative, and user-focused.
- Ability to assess system impacts on performance, scalability,
and maintainability.
- Skilled in managing ambiguity, creating estimates, and
assessing risks.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Adaptability to new strategies, technologies, and
